Lori Gummow for Winnebago County Clerk

Lori Gummow has deep roots in Northern Winnebago County in Winnebago County. She grew up on the family farms enjoying the beauty of this part of the county. Over two decades ago Gummow founded the organization Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful. As a founder and executive director of KNIB she built the organization into an award winning entity that focuses on recycling and keeping our environment and landfills free of toxic material.
Gummow is a lifelong county resident and graduate of Rock Valley College. Gummow also holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Judson University.
As an executive director of KNIB, Gummow managed activities and services as a not for profit organization stretching budgets and raising funds based on performance. Through the years KNIB awards and recognition made the organization a priority for area residents and businesses interested in sharing in the success of the organization and participating in the accomplishments.
Gummow’s organizational and management experience coupled with her educational background make her uniquely qualified to lead the Winnebago County Clerk’s office.
The clerk’s office is responsible for administering county elections, securing vital records, overseeing the calculation of taxes, and maintaining county board records.
Gummow’s goals for the office of Winnebago County Clerk include creating a greater awareness of the services that the clerk’s office provides as well as accelerating the improvements and streamlining that has occurred under previous clerks.
Gummow secured the Republican Nomination for Winnebago County Clerk in the March 20, 2018 Primary Election and is now running in the November 6, 2018 General Election.
Gummow resides in Loves Park with her husband, Phil Caltagerone.
